Vehicle Repairs. We've Got What It Takes.
The purpose of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system is to reduce the emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from the internal combustion engine. It achieves this by recirculating a proportion of the exhaust gases through the induction system of the engine. This reduces the oxygen in the air charge to the cylinders which in turn lowers the peak combustion temperature leading to a reduction in the level of NOx being formed.
A defective EGR valve not only results in a significant increase in NOx in the exhaust gas, but can also have a negative effect on other components such as the diesel particulate filter. febi offers a wide range of high-quality EGR valves, most of which contain the required seals.
Quality by Conviction
EGR valves must be robust and durable in order to reliably reduce the amount of nitrogen oxides produced during combustion and therefore be in compliance with the strict Euro standards.
All EGR valves supplied by febi are intensively tested by our quality management. The quality control of electronic components is carried out with the aid of a high-resolution X-ray device used to check the integrity of the circuitry.
Everything for Professional Repair
febi offers EGR valves for diesel and petrol engines. In diesel vehicles, the valves have large opening cross-sections due to the high recirculation rates. This can reduce the nitrogen oxide concentration by up to 50 percent and the formation of soot particles by approximately 10 percent. In gasoline engines, the cross sections of the EGR valves are significantly smaller.
The range includes pneumatically and electronically controlled EGR valves in OE matching quality. This enables febi to guarantee a wide market coverage and enables the repair of numerous passenger car models in line with their current market value.
