With the use of smaller, more efficient and powerful engines, the vehicle manufacturers’ aim is to enhance the use of existing technology in the search for efficiency. Such measures include reducing friction, lowering reciprocating masses and the use of management of heat production and heat loss in design plans when producing a downsized engine. Additionally, there are multiple cooling system circuits controlled by electric and electromechanical water pumps - subject to temperature and load demands.
A perfectly functioning cooling system is a primary prerequisite for optimum operation of the engine. The right coolant makes a key contribution towards the reliable functioning of the engine cooling system in all operating and weather conditions. febi coolants are precisely matched to the special requirements of the vehicle manufacturer and offer reliable protection from damages caused by freezing, corrosion and cavitation. Additionally, they are suitable for hybrid and electric vehicles.
Range
Cooling systems require regular replacement of the coolant at set intervals as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. febi offers a wide range of concentrated and pre-mixed coolants recommended for each vehicle application.
When using a concentrated coolant, the water used for mixing has a major influence on the effectiveness of the coolant, because water quality can differ from country-to-country and even region-to region. The water used should be ‘drinking water’ quality. If this is not possible, we recommend using distilled water for topping-up when mixing with the coolant.
Ready Mix
febi Ready Mix reliably protects against deposits, corrosion and foaming to ensure optimum heat dissipation. It does not require any further dilution and is trusted for use in outdoor temperatures as low as -35°C. Our ideal specification avoids problems with unsuitable water quality or an incorrect mixing ratio. The coolant is optimally prepared with a mix ratio of 1:1 of tested water and coolant quality meeting the required vehicle manufacturer standards.
Optimal Packaging Design
febi coolants are not only high-quality: in many instances, febi exceeds the requirements of the vehicle manufacturer, which is also complemented by the user-friendly packaging design.
The clear labelling of the products through the use of colour-coding makes their identification simple. Special recessed grips on the recyclable, leak-proof Polyethylene bottles make filling noticeably easier.
