Lambda sensors constantly measure the concentration of oxygen in the exhaust gases and convert these into electronic signals - this is done in both gasoline and diesel engines.
This information is transmitted to the engine control unit which adjusts the mixture formation in the combustion chamber according to the evaluated results. In this way, the vehicle’s emissions - such as nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, and soot – are significantly reduced.

In order to reliably reduce the amount of pollutants produced during combustion and therefore comply with the strict Euro standards, lambda sensors must be robust and durable to transmit precise electronic signals to the engine control unit.
All lambda sensors supplied by febi are intensively tested by our certified quality management team. The quality control of electronic components is carried out with the aid of a high-resolution X-ray device which is used to check the integrity of the circuitry.
