Vehicle Repairs. We've Got What it Takes.
The ignition coil is made up of two sets of windings – both of which are wound around a soft, iron core. A switch installed upstream of the primary winding allows the circuit to be opened or closed. The current is sent across the primary winding where a magnetic field is created around the primary winding. Thereafter, the switch opens abruptly which then causes a variation in the magnetic flow. This is due to the difference in the potential between the windings and the core. A high voltage is then generated at the level of the secondary winding. This is then sent through the high tension connection to the spark plug.
There are several design variations of the ignition coil. Also, the technology used is dependent on a variety of criteria. Engine environment: temperature, installation, space allocated. Performance: current supply requirements, ability to filter interference.
In the electronics and sensor technology sector, febi offers a dynamically growing range of replacement parts in OE matching quality which are suitable for numerous vehicle types.
Quality by Conviction
All ignition coils supplied by febi are intensively tested by our quality management. The quality control of electronic components is carried out with the aid of a high-resolution X-ray device used to check the integrity of the circuitry.
Precisely Fitting Production
Anyone who repairs their own car knows the problem: inexpensive replacement parts from the independent parts trade can deviate from the mould and can be difficult to install at the intended location.
febi makes all the difference: all replacement parts are manufactured precisely and it goes without saying that production tolerances are adhered to. This is the only way to guarantee an optimal fit.
